Abstract

This IDC Survey analyzes IDC's latest primary research on the Internet of Things (IoT) in Canada. In December 2023, IDC surveyed 498 IT decision-makers about their organizations' IoT deployment plans by industry-specific solution. Those who had already adopted at least one IoT solution were then asked about their choice of communication service provider (SP) and their choice of connectivity standard for their IoT deployments.

This IDC Survey also analyzes the communication service provider choices nationally, by region, by size, and by industry. It partners with Canadian Enterprise Adoption of IoT Connectivity Standards, 2024 (IDC #CA51832424, forthcoming), which outlines the connectivity standards that Canadian small, medium-sized, and large organizations are choosing for their IoT deployments.

This data is important for marketing, communications, sales, and partnering executives seeking to better understand the rapidly changing IoT landscape in Canada.
