Soo Kyoum Kim is Associate Vice President of IDC's Enabling Technologies team for memory semiconductor and foundry research. Mr. Kim's research covers demand and supply analysis for DRAM and NAND, memory consumption for server workload, next generation memory, emerging memory market study for automotive, video surveillance and other key IoT areas. The demand and supply research analyzes application system, chip pricing, competitor and fabrication capacity. He also covers the dedicated foundry market

Mr. Kim has almost 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He started in the industry with Samsung Electronics as a field-sales person in charge of America, headquarter memory marketing and strategic planning. He also contributed to create the Asia Pacific chapter of Worldwide Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) and Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA). Mr. Kim has strongly supported both sell and buy-side in the financial industry. He was an owner of the semiconductor program in the Asia Pacific region with IDC.
