Louise Francis

Senior Research Manager, IDC New Zealand


Louise Francis is the Research Manager for IT Spending at IDC New Zealand. Louise is responsible for managing IDC New Zealand's industry insights and end user research programme which provides a 360 degree perspective of the ICT industry from both a vendor and business end user point of view. Her primary focus is to analyse demand and key market opportunities for IT services providers in New Zealand. She is responsible for appraising the strategies of IT service providers, assessing market opportunities and providing comprehensive insights integrating end user market intelligence including CIO preferences, technology deployment plans and business priorities.  
Prior to joining IDC in 2008, Louise worked for over 20 years as a  ICT and procurement analyst within a diverse range of organisations, including Telecom New Zealand, Brocker Technology and Beca. Louise holds a Bachelor of Business Studies with First Class Honours from Massey University, graduating with a double major of Marketing and Communications. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the University of Auckland.
