This IDC study presents forecast data for the worldwide cloud-native XDR market for 2024–2028.
"XDR vendors must balance the high-wire act of correlating multiple points of telemetry while providing effortless end-user investigation platforms," notes Chris Kissel, vice president, IDC Security and Trust. "We have seen tremendous advancements in the quality of XDR platforms. In addition, many vendors are differentiating with the inclusion of new use cases such as attack surface management, configuration hygiene assessment, and data loss prevention (DLP). GenAI has the potential to make XDR an even more trenchant weapon in the SecOps arsenal with its natural language processing capabilities, pattern recognition, and in its ability to summarize and contextualize logic flows from large language models (LLMs)."
