Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the state of organizations' investments in 5G for employee connectivity and broader trends in how companies expect 5G to impact their business innovation, new products and services development, and overall operational efficiency strategies. 5G's emergence has brought a slate of new and improved features and capabilities that can drive further digitization of business operations, but the slow maturation of 5G networks and the supporting device ecosystem has created mixed sentiments and led some to question the transformative impact of 5G.
Insights are derived from IDC's June 2023 Worldwide Future of Connectedness Survey, which examined the connectivity and digital transformation perspectives of more than 700 IT decision makers.
