Abstract

This IDC study reviews 2023 vendor revenue and shipments in the wireless local area network (WLAN) infrastructure market (excluding WLAN NICs) and shows the market's changes from 2022. Year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter changes are also shown.

"Even though 2023 was a dynamic year in the enterprise WLAN industry, Wi-Fi and related wireless protocols remain critically important technologies for organizations around the globe," said Brandon Butler, research manager, Enterprise Networks, IDC. "Recent years have been dominated by the effects of supply chain disruptions, product backlogs, and the shipping of product inventory. Meanwhile, significant advancements in Wi-Fi technology such as enabling Wi-Fi to use the 6GHz bands are opening an expanded set of use cases for WLAN and advanced AIOps capabilities continue to mature bringing additional value to WLAN investments."
