This IDC Survey Spotlight highlights how enterprises are collaborating/partnering with generative AI (GenAI) technology providers to drive innovation and growth. Generative AI is one of the most promising fields that can drive innovation and growth in today's technological landscape. To fully leverage generative AI capabilities, businesses often require more than just in-house capabilities and also demand for strategic partnerships:
- Enterprises are considering IT consulting/SI partners as an important strategic GenAI technology partners followed by AI tool vendors, cloud providers, and digital infrastructure providers.
- IT consulting/SI partners have deep capabilities in generative AI and provide services such as consulting, advisory, solution design and prototyping, large language model training and fine-tuning, guardrail agent design, project delivery, and ongoing application maintenance. Vendors in this segment help enterprises to manage and improve organization's IT performance, infrastructure, and security and also assist organizations to incorporate GenAI into their IT strategy and IT operations, in a secure, responsible manner.
- The rapidly growing adoption of GenAI will spark a sustained demand for digital infrastructure providers as natural incubators for high-density HFC computing. Datacenter providers have the capacity and technology to meet the needs of the tremendous computing capacity and voracious power demand that will be driven by AI workloads.
