Abstract

This IDC Market Forecast examines the expected growth in the APEJ managed cloud services market, and projects a market expansion from US$8.7 billion in 2022 to US$20.2 billion by 2027, driven by the adoption of multi, hybrid, and cross-cloud architectures. Managed public cloud services are expected to see the fastest growth, and market dynamics suggest that technology suppliers need to integrate AI and automation into their delivery and offerings, develop robust CloudOps platforms, and showcase hybrid and cross-cloud orchestration capabilities to meet evolving enterprise needs.

"The future of enterprise IT is multicloud, heterogenous, and hybrid; and enterprises are understandably concerned about managing this complexity. Managed cloud services providers have a crucial role to play in ensuring that enterprises can focus on maximizing the business value realized from their cloud investments without getting bogged down with the operational challenges of managing increasingly complex hybrid IT environments," says Pushkaraksh Shanbhag, associate director, IDC Asia/Pacific Cloud and IT Services.
