Pushkaraksh Shanbhag

Sr. Research Manager

Pushkaraksh Shanbhag is a senior research manager for IDC’s Asia/Pacific (APAC) Services and Cloud Research Group. He is charge of delivering syndicated and custom research for IT services and BPO segments for the APAC region. He is also responsible for assessing market trends, monitoring industry dynamics, and more importantly, advising tech providers on their strategies across the region. Pushkar has a solid background in technology, as well as an extensive experiences in technology industry research in the context of both public and private sectors. Pushkar is based in Bangalore.

Pushkar has over ten years of experience spanning a wide breadth of roles in various organizations within the technology space. Prior to joining IDC, Pushkar was with Huawei India's Global Services division where he was responsible for internal market research and business operations functions. Before Huawei, Pushkar worked with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (the Information and Communications technology regulatory sector in Singapore)  as part of the Technology Scanning and Foresights team, responsible for assessing the potential impact and promise of emerging technologies in Singapore's context. Before that, he had been a product developer with Sun Microsystems (now part of Oracle) on its flagship enterprise systems management platform.

Pushkar has an MBA degree from Nanyang Business School, Singapore, and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA.
