This IDC Market Presentation presents a view of how extensively European Union companies are using edge infrastructure in 2023 from a vertical industry perspective.
It looks at the types of edge resources used, location of assets in the edge ecosystem according to workload, partners' qualifications to implement edge projects, top benefits of edge implementation, and top challenges to edge adoption.
Data and analysis are based on the IDC UNLOCK-CEI Project Survey, 2023, funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe. The survey was conducted in March 2023 and surveyed 700 organizations in Europe across multiple verticals, countries, and company sizes.
