Abstract
This IDC Market Presentation provides a view of how extensively European Union companies are using edge infrastructures in 2023 from a geographic perspective. It looks at types of edge resources used, the location of assets in the edge ecosystem according to workload, partner qualifications for implementing edge projects, the top benefits of edge implementation, and the top challenges to edge adoption.
Data and analysis are based on the IDC UNLOCK-CEI project survey in 2023, funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe. The survey was conducted in March 2023 and surveyed 700 organizations in Europe across multiple verticals, countries, and company sizes.
