David Lantsman

Research Manager, Customer Insights & Analysis

David Lantsman is a Research Manager for IDC’s Customer Insights & Analysis group. In this role, he provides analysis of market trends for IT budgeting decisions and business development strategies. He manages all of IDC’s IT Wallet research programs, which analyze ICT spending for the largest companies worldwide.

Prior to joining IDC, David worked as an analyst at a small boutique investment bank, where he performed quantitative and qualitative analyses of potential investment companies. He has also served as a consultant for Genscape Inc., an energy data provider, creating statistical regression models for equity price forecasting.

From Brandeis University David has received three degrees: a BA in Economics, an MA in International Economics and Finance and an MBA. He has also studied at Denmark's Copenhagen Business School.
