Jessica Goepfert

Program Director, Customer Insights & Analysis

Jessica Goepfert is a program director for IDC's Customer Insights & Analysis Group where she oversees a suite of quantitative programs including: IDC’s Worldwide Semiannual Cognitive Systems Spending Guide,  Worldwide Robotics Spending Guide, Worldwide Semiannual Mobility Spending Guide, Semiannual Big Data and Analytics Spending Guide, Wallet family of products, and industry-focused solution and technology spending guide research.  In this position, she studies IT trends by industry and company size and examines the vertical strategies of business and IT companies. In addition to quantitative and qualitative research in industry-specific markets, Ms. Goepfert contributes to consulting engagements and custom research requests to support IT vendors’ overall market strategies.  Ms. Goepfert brings over fifteen years of research, analysis and consulting experience to IDC, with an extensive background in market opportunity assessment and competitor analysis.


Ms. Goepfert returns to IDC's Customer Insights and Analysis Group after managing the custom research practices for IDC Energy, Government and Financial Services Insights for over 5 years.   During her tenure at IDC, her work has involved ground-breaking detailed forecasts of IT spending in the manufacturing, retail, healthcare, life science, energy, retail and government sectors. She was also a lead analyst on IDC’s premiere worldwide four pillar forecasts by industry.


Ms. Goepfert graduated Cum Laude from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Connecticut College in the fields of Psychology and Dance, with a minor in economics, and was nominated into the Phi Beta Kappa society.
