Gaia Gallotti

Research Manager, EMEA

Gaia Gallotti is research manager for IDC Energy Insights Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Gallotti leads the "Europe, Middle East and Africa Utilities Digital Transformation Strategies" advisory service, which provides full coverage of the utility industry value chain. She joined the IDC Energy Insights in 2007, after joining IDC in 2006. Since then, she has become a recognized independent industry analyst across Europe in the utilities domain. Gallotti's knowledge of the utilities industry enables her to support clients with market research, ad hoc consulting activities, and honoraria. Her area of expertise includes business and IT issues relevant to the utilities, as well as digital transformation, customer experience, Big Data and Analytics, Mobility, and Internet of Things, IT and Operational Technologies integration.

Gallotti is also an active member of IDC’s European Digital Transformation Strategies  practice.

She is based at the IDC Italy office in Milan.

BACKGROUND

Gaia Gallotti has over nine years of experience in the European utilities industry, and her expertise covers a wide range of industry-specific themes, including smart energy, distributed generation, smart cities, smart grids, smart metering, customer experience, omni-channel strategies, and electric mobility. 

Gallotti is bilingual Italian-English, fluent in French, and proficient in Mandarin Chinese.
