Abstract

This IDC Perspective is the first in a three-part series that discusses the changing role of the CHRO as technologies, services, and expectations continue to evolve after the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Part 1 covers the evolution of the CHRO from a talent acquisition perspective, parts 2 and 3 will examine impacts from an HCM and employee experience perspective.

"A summation of CHRO changes can be captured with three keywords: elevation, automation, and agility. From a technology and services perspective, these words encompass how the role of the CHRO has evolved and how vendors have impacted the role and its effectiveness. IDC reflects on those evolutions through the lens of talent Acquisition, HCM, and employee experience and how those changes culminate in a holistic reimagining of CHRO responsibility and impact," says Matthew Merker, research manager, Talent Acquisition and Strategy.
