Abstract

This IDC Survey examines the impact of digital adoption platforms on training and learning. IDC's Future of Work research team conducted a survey in North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific to understand how global organizations are leveraging multiple approaches including digital adoption platforms (DAPs) and other dynamic learning tools to improve training, upskilling, and cross-skilling.

The goal of the survey is also to understand how skills development is becoming increasingly diversified, moving far beyond traditional classroom models to embracing digital learning and DAPs. Nearly half of the respondents (49%) say they are turning to DAPs as a top initiative for learning and development.

Asia/Pacific organizations are investing most heavily in DAPs, followed by North America and EMEA. Among sectors, financial services take pole position.
