Abstract

This IDC Survey Spotlight examines the latest worldwide and U.S. results from IDC's Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey. This analysis compares the responses to print spending trends in the United States and globally for January 2023.

The survey results for print spending patterns offer different messages between the two geographies. The good news is that both geographies maintain a positive trend overall. For the United States, it is basically no change from what was observed in November's study; that is, the U.S. market maintains a slightly positive perspective. Worldwide, we note results are even more positive. This assessment comes from the fact that a positive spending trend was the highest response versus a negative or neutral trend. In addition, the worldwide market gained a whopping 6-point increase for an expected positive print spending trend in 2023. This generally positive outlook aligns with other recent IDC research that projects a rebound in print spending as organizations gradually return to the office and desire to update their print infrastructure.
