Abstract

This IDC Survey examines selected results from IDC's Wellness and Online Learning Survey fielded in 4Q22. Results and analysis focus on consumer desired outcomes, perceived benefits, most important features, and friction points associated with online learning. Areas of focus in this presentation include consumer engagement with different types of online learning, key generational differences, willingness to spend, and overall trust in and satisfaction with online learning experiences.

"A large number of consumers, particularly among younger generations, consider themselves loyal users of online learning apps and services," said Marlanna Bozicevich, associate project analyst for IDC's Device and Consumer Research. "The future looks bright for online learning as engagement with free and paid services is strong across Gen Z and millennials, although some socioeconomic engagement gaps do exist."
