Abstract
This IDC Survey Spotlight examines whether multicloud is the new normal for network security. While securing the on-premises perimeter has not become less important, the expansion of the perimeter to remote and contracted personnel as well as cloud apps and resources means that the majority of growth in network security resides outside of the main office. A consistent security posture that is location agnostic for both personnel and resources is emerging as a rapidly growing trend to enable businesses to expand their hybrid work/multicloud initiatives.
