This IDC Survey features the results of both IDC's May 2023 Future Enterprise Resiliency and Spending Survey, Wave 4, and IDC's global 2023 SaaSPath Survey. The questions from these IDC surveys look at both general IT buying trends around digital platforms and purchases through the application partner ecosystem. It focuses on understanding the preferences of IT buyers of ecosystem applications by region.
What role does the additional noncore applications play in a digital platform ecosystem? Based upon our research, a significant role. Though both the digital platform and the core applications are critical, the incremental value of these additional applications and services are often key decision criteria for IT buyers trying to pick the best digital platform for their business.
