Senior Market Analyst

Rijo George Thomas is a senior market analyst for IDC’s Asia/Pacific (AP) Services and Cloud Research Group. He is in charge of delivering syndicated research and custom projects for IT services and BPO segments for the Asia/Pacific region (excluding Japan) or APeJ. He is also responsible for assessing market trends and monitoring industry dynamics through vendor interactions, and research and qualitative assessments of the services market and market participants.

Prior to joining IDC, Rijo worked with Tata Consultancy Services as an assistant manager in the Thought Leadership marketing team of TCS Retail Domain in which he researched and supported the publications on industry trends, customer dynamics and competitor landscapes to improve the thought leadership presence of TCS. Additionally, he also supported the geography sales teams with market and competitor insights into the sales and marketing of TCS Retail products and services. As part of his marketing responsibilities he supported the digital marketing initiatives of the TCS retail thought leadership journal, “Forum,” including content development, driving social media marketing campaigns, internal organizational promotion and campaign tracking and analytics.

Rijo holds a postgraduate degree, MBA in marketing, from PSG institute of Technology Coimbatore and a graduate degree, BE in Civil Engineering, from Mar Athanasius College of Engineering (Mahatma Gandhi University) in Kerala.
