Karen Massey is Research Manager for IDC Financial Insights responsible for the Financial Services Worldwide IT Spending Guides and contributing to the North American banking practices.  Ms Massey’s research coverage includes transformational technologies and services impacting banks, including digital transformation, cloud, innovation accelerators, while also covering trends impacting financial institution spending on IT. With a background in consulting to the financial services industry, Ms Massey also considers the people and processes components for successful IT management.


Previously, Ms Massey was a senior consultant at Demos Solutions, managing large scale projects at some of the largest financial institutions across the US, Canada, and Asia/Pacific. Client engagements included retail banking solution selection and implementation, process improvement, capacity planning, operations workflow, post-merger analysis and integration strategy definition. Prior to Demos Solutions, Ms Massey led special projects within audit for Liberty Mutual.
