Phil Sargeant

Phil Sargeant is IDC’s leading expert in the field of imaging, hardware devices and document solutions. As program director, he researches and reports on the key aspects of the multifunction, production and large format printer markets and is also responsible for IDC's Western European Hardcopy Tracker service.

Sargeant also designs and manages bespoke projects which support vendors and channel partners in their product and marketing strategies, business plans and research and development. With over 15 years of experience in the printing and imaging industry, he also focuses on consumer, SMB, and large account strategies through end-user research and continual information services.

His is regularly quoted in UK press and invited to speak at major industry events about how end-user organizations should be proactively approaching the use of this technology to drive down costs and improve business process flow.

Before joining IDC, Sargeant worked for Oki Europe Ltd. as a European product marketing manager and also spent four years as strategic product planning manager at Fujitsu Europe Ltd.

Sargeant has an MSc in global marketing and a post-graduate diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He also has a BA honors degree in marketing.
