Abstract


This IDC Survey presents a comprehensive look at the present and future investments in marketing and related technologies by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs), which include organizations with 1–999 employees. While the data reflects perspectives shaped by responses to various economic headwinds, it incorporates the "new reality" of organizations in a post COVID-19 era.

The survey gathered information from diverse participants, encompassing both line-of-business (LOB) professionals and IT decision makers and (upon request), can be examined by various granular cohorts (geography, company size, maturity stage, industry, etc.).

This survey holds significance for martech, adtech, and other customer experience application providers that seek insights into the key factors assessed by SMBs when procuring marketing technology. It also offers an understanding of their approaches to researching these acquisitions, as well as their current priorities, anxieties, and goals.
