Roberto Alunni

Senior Research Manager, IPDS, MEA

Roberto Alunni joined IDC as a senior research analyst in 2011 to support the Imaging and Hardcopy Peripherals and Document Solutions team at IDC’s Middle East, Africa, and Turkey headquarters in Dubai.

Prior to joining IDC, Alunni worked as an equity analyst for Merchantec Capital, a Johannesburg-based corporate finance firm. In this role, he conducted fundamental equity research and valuations on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange for listed small- and medium-market capitalization firms. His specialized in the listed South African technology sector, as well as the AltX exchange, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized high-growth companies. During his time with Merchantec Capital, he both managed and was part of a rated analyst team.

Alunni holds an honors bachelor's degree in economics from the University of the Witwatersrand. He is fluent in English and Italian.
