Daniel Goncalves

Senior Research Analyst, Western Europe Personal Computing Devices (PCD)

Daniel Goncalves joined IDC in August 2013 and leads the quarterly tablet tracker program and related research. He is instrumental in producing market overview, forecasts models, vendor analysis, market share and technology trend analysis reports with focus on tablet across Western Europe. In addition, he is responsible for managing some customer relationship across Western European region.

Prior to joining IDC, Daniel Goncalves worked as a business developer in the personal banking department of Banco Espirito Santo at its London Branch. He has also worked as an IT consultant at myPartner, a Microsoft gold certified partner company where he implemented Microsoft's enterprise resource planning software solution (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) in Portugal.

Goncalves studied Business Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and as an exchange student in the University of Jyvaskyla in Finland. He is a native Portuguese speaker, he is fluent in English and can also speak Spanish.
