He has over 20 years experience in the IT industry in various roles including sales, business modeling specialist, global alliance project office, and project manager for global projects. Prior to joining IDC Japan, he worked as an IT project manager for a Japan subsidiary of an American company providing cellular phone insurance and repair services. He has also worked for IBM Japan, Nomura Securities, and Tata Consultancy Services Japan.

He holds a BA in Literature from Waseda University, Japan. He also attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana as an exchange student from Waseda University.
