Giorgio Nebuloni

Research Director European Systems and Infrastructure Solutions

Giorgio Nebuloni is a research director for IDC's  European Infrastructure and Cloud research. In this role, he is responsible for shaping IDC’s research agenda in Europe around enterprise and multicloud infrastructure topics, from hyperconvergence to management software, from Docker containers to datacentre facility. Nebuloni leads the team of analysts responsible for tracking the cloud infrastructure, server, storage and converged systems markets in Western Europe. In previous years, he was researching enterprise computing topics and worked in the international team that launched IDC Converged System Tracker.

Nebuloni is actively involved as a co-lead in the European Cloud Practice. Starting in 2017, he is also co-leading IDC’s European research efforts on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT).

The analyst works in close cooperation with the IDC consulting team, helping IT buyers with implementation strategies around new technologies and IT vendor clients with campaigns, workshops and advisory support.

Based in Germany, Nebuloni has often been quoted in leading publications including Die Zeit, CIO.de, Computerworld, Computerwoche, and Zdnet, and he regularly speaks at IDC and industry events with keynotes on cloud, enterprise infrastructure and Blockchain. Before joining IDC, Nebuloni worked as a technical journalist. Nebuloni is a native Italian speaker with full command of English and German.
