Yeşim Araç joined IDC in 2013 as a research analyst for the software and IT services markets. She is responsible for driving research and consulting activities for the software business in terms of enterprise applications, security and management software, application development and deployment, and system infrastructure software in Turkey. Additionally, she supports research and consulting activities in IT services.


Prior to her role at IDC, Araç worked as a product manager at 4S Information Technologies, a leading systems integrator in Turkey. She was responsible for providing presales support to sales teams for a wide range of infrastructure software solutions from various vendors, including Microsoft, Oracle, HP, IBM, EMC, Vmware, and Citrix. She conducted competitive analyses and benchmarked different vendor products to find the most suitable solution for 4S's customers.  In addition, she monitored global and local software market trends and opportunities to provide strategic insights to the senior management.


Yeşim Araç has a Bachelor's of Science in computer engineering from Baskent University. She started her career as a sales engineer in Atlastek, where she was responsible for driving the lead generation activities related to off-the-shelf packaged software.
