IDC Opens Nominations for the Inaugural Future Enterprise Awards 2021 for Asia/Pacific
Feb 18, 2021
As the world faces the COVID-19 pandemic, technology has proven to be key in keeping businesses afloat by enabling remote work, agile business, and external digital engagement. In the longer-term, organizations will leverage technology to underpin every process, initiative, and value chain as they journey to the next normal. More now than ever, organizations are looking for new ideas and emerging best practices from their technology partners.
IDC's vision of the Future Enterprise is an organization that underpins business processes with technology, is fueled by innovation, is platform-enabled, and ecosystem-centric. The pandemic underscored the importance of digital transformation in the eyes of CEOs who now find themselves at a decision point – to follow the same course of cost cutting as previous recessions have dictated - or to flatten their own organization's recessionary curve by leveraging technology.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) is challenging the world in new ways, every day. Over the past 10 weeks every continent has had to rethink business, entertainment, and how respective societies interact. To say that norms have been challenged is an understatement. Our thoughts are with those who are already impacted by the virus and we continue to be inspired by those around the world who are caring for others in need.
In this context, I wanted to personally state that on behalf of IDC the safety of the entire IDC community is of utmost importance to us. In this critical time, we must take care of ourselves and our loved ones; and encourage everyone to make this their highest priority.
In terms of business, this situation is creating unforeseen demands and challenges never previously experienced. At IDC we have put in motion our plan to support customers at this critical time. In order to ensure continued service of our core products, IDC has long standing processes to provide service even when circumstances impair or prevent our staff’s ability to travel, work from our corporate or regional offices, or otherwise perform their job functions in the ordinary course of business.
The critical functions required to serve our customers will continue to operate despite these challenges. We have designed our systems to allow our team members to deliver our customer facing and internal services on a location independent basis so all of IDC’s syndicated, custom and virtual event products can be managed and delivered securely to our customers.
IDC will continue to assess this situation, and quickly adjust as circumstances warrant. IDC's global Research, Customer Support, Sales and IT teams will continue to provide the high-quality content and experiences our customers expect. Under these challenging circumstances, it is our commitment to serve our customers’ diverse needs with as little disruption as possible and provide the trusted advice and research that you depend on to make critical decisions.
On behalf of everyone at IDC, we are committed to being your partner in the days and years ahead.
In the coming days and weeks IDC will offer research, webinars and analyst authored blogs to help you understand and plan for changing market conditions.
As we go forward, we will keep you updated. Please feel free to contact me or your IDC representative directly with any questions.
Sincerely,
Crawford Del Prete
